Editorial standards

Editorial Policy

The rules Brandspire uses to decide what is worth publishing, how technical claims are checked, how corrections work, and how commercial interests are kept separate from editorial conclusions.

Publishing standard

Every page needs a clear reason to exist.

Each guide should address a specific question with steps, examples, tradeoffs, or decisions a reader can apply. A tool page should describe what its calculation or preview can and cannot verify.

Brandspire avoids publishing near-identical pages simply to target variations of the same search phrase. If two pages solve the same job, they should usually be one stronger resource.

Verification

Primary sources are preferred for technical claims.

When a guide describes a standard, search behavior, platform feature, or technical threshold, Brandspire links to an official specification or product documentation where practical. Examples and tools are checked against their stated behavior before publication.

Standards

Prefer the organization that maintains the standard or specification.

Platform behavior

Prefer official product documentation, changelogs, or developer references.

Examples

Use reproducible examples rather than unsupported claims when possible.

Dates

Updated dates should represent material changes, not automatic refreshes.

AI assistance

AI can assist the workflow; it does not own the publication decision.

AI may help organize research, draft or edit language, summarize source material, or identify questions that need verification. The Brandspire Editorial Team remains responsible for the final page, its sources, and corrections.

Corrections & updates

Material errors should be corrected transparently.

Readers can send corrections through the contact page with a URL and supporting evidence. We review substantive errors and update the page when a correction is warranted. Publication and update dates should reflect real changes.

Commercial separation

Advertising must remain distinguishable from editorial content and controls.

Advertisements must not be presented as navigation, tool controls, download buttons, or editorial recommendations. Ads must not affect calculations or conclusions. Sponsored content and affiliate relationships will be labeled on the relevant page if introduced.
